Vickie Jane (Barnwell) Johnson

Ms. Vickie Jane Barnwell Johnson, age 72, of York, SC, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026.

A memorial service celebrating Vickie’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

Vickie was born on June 19, 1953, in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late James Samuel Barnwell and Lillian Jane Stewart Barnwell. Vickie had a compassionate heart and dedicated her career to serving others as a mental health counselor. She loved her work and made a meaningful difference in the lives of many through her care and guidance.

She is survived by her brother, James Anthony “Tony” Barnwell; her sister, Mary Lisa Barnwell Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
